ssc profit and loss question solved

A sells an article to B at a profit of 20% and B sell it to C at a profit of 25%. If C pays rs. 1200, then the cost price of the article originally is?
a.    700
b.    600
c.     1000

d.    800

    Also can solve as> a+b+ab/100
    So. > 20+25+ 20*25/100
    = 45+ 500/100
    =50
    Over all 50% profit.. so 150 units =1200
    Soo 100 units =800..
